Styling isn’t just about putting pretty items together. It is a way of telling a story, providing a sense of balance, and drawing the viewer’s eye to a point of focus. It takes experience and an artist’s attention to detail. My over twenty years of experience in styling, working with the best commercial photographers and creative teams in Minneapolis, as well as my participation in a wide variety of creative areas, has given me unique insights into creating pleasing compositions to cultivate beauty. More importantly, my ability to deeply listen to my clients helps me connect with them to collaboratively communicate their story through styling. Whether you want to co-create intricate table tops, work together to create amazing laydowns, or need the insights from a keen and practiced eye to make a large room set really pop, I would love to help you!
I enjoy the hands on in the commercial world. My extensive creative life adds to my commercial skill set. I have a photography and visual communications degree that gives me technical skills behind the camera to inform my choices on what goes in front of the camera. My award-winning fine art line of photography continues to hone my skills and develop the aesthetic wisdom to see every styling experience as an act of creating art.
When I’m not working at creating great styling images, I have been known to build an igloo featured on the nightly news; take care of my honey bees and win State Fair awards for delicious honey and for my education displays about bees; sew a costume or two, including a Queen Bee ensemble I use when stilting as part of my advocacy work in educating people about honey bees and pollinators; laugh at my hens with their quirky behavior; put my passion into gardening, camping, and biking; and I also love to spend time being deeply inspired by the natural world. My entire life is filled with creating and savoring beauty, in my work and in my play.
Thank you for viewing my website, and I look forward to creating some incredible images with you.
